As the Bahloo Organisation has come together over the last 12months I have watched with joy and experienced with great interest the dedication and sharing and the  amount of work that it has taken to get to this point. For without the hard work, research, and trying over and over again to make sure that we have the very best to offer you our members, we certainly would not be here. So thank you Shaza Leigh Butler & Peg Gilchrist and all of our wonderful friends of Bahloo that support us in what we are endeavouring to do. As we build our Spiritual Community here in Tamworth and beyond…. your commitment to service is truly amazing. It is a pleasure to be part of the Bahloo team and a team it is. For each and every member is also a part of the greater team and we would like to think that you will share your words, insights and thoughts with us either through feedback or sending in words of wisdom for us to share though our newsfeed.

CONNECTING WITH FRANKINCENSE - (March 2023)

I would like to share one of my most favorite Essential Oils. I have used this for many years right thoughout my spiritual practice, helping me to connect with myself during meditation and connection to those that guide me and always when working with others during consultation times. I find it gives me a feeling of protection, nurturing and a complete sense of well being. It is also great for using when you are making up specific blends for yourself or others. Great in soaps, creams etc if you are into making your own personal products. Frankincense is one Essential Oil I am never without.

EXPLORING MEDITATION WITH ESSENTIAL OILS - (March 2023)

I have been working within the Spiritual Healing, & the Intuitive side of life almost since I was born. I can remember back to the ages of two or three when I would ask the most difficult questions of my Mother...  Through the years my understanding grew to embrace all life seen and unseen. (by many) As I matured to where I am today, having experienced the many areas of life, through Corporate, Business owner and Professional work. More and more I am aware of the importance of meditation and how it helps to balance, align and harmonise the body, mind and

Spirit within us as individuals with the healing of self. I have always used my hands and self-healing techniques with energy. To sooth the stress in my being and I have always understood the value of all vibrational therapy.   So having a bond with all things vibrational, ie: colour, crystals, energy, and essential oils. I took it upon myself to source the best I could find for my vibration.

In 2011,  I came across Young Living Essential Oils… Boy did I put them through the ringer… testing and experiencing how they resonated, the results, how cost effective, how they helped me in all my fields of work. Spiritually, physically etc.  By which stage  I had experience such excellent results, I started using them in all my classes, picking carefully for the needs of the people and for the results we were looking for. So with all that said I start today with Meditation as my subject. The process of this essay is to help you bring together the great value and benefits of the essential oils and how they can enhance the general meditation experience, plus how we can use the oils to bring a specific positive experience and outcome to any situation that we be meditating on. And we all have specific needs from time to time.

HISTORY OF ESSENCE & AROMA - (March 2023)

The origins of the very earliest use of fragrances and distilled essences from herbs and plants is lost in antiquity. But even though these arts have been lost, re-discovered and lost again many, many times and in many places. Many of us instinctively know the power, energy and healing of these beautiful essential oils. And have experienced the quality of life one feels after their use.

Over the years I have done a fair amount of research and I have come up with lots of interesting bits & pieces, so will share a few of those with you. Sorry don’t remember where I got them. But credit goes to the original writer for these.

1)    In 1975 a skeleton, about 60,000 years old was found in Iraq and beside these remains were found concentrated deports of yarrow, groundsel and grape hyacinth pollens. Medical herbs and grinding slabs have been found in Central and North America dating back to 3000 BC.

2)    History recorded by ancient scribes, record the use of plants and scented oils long before Christ, and of course as we know, for it is recorded in the bible, the three wise men at the birth of Christ carried frankincense and myrrh - two of the precious essences we use today in meditation, healing and Spiritual work.

3)    Egyptians used aromatic plants for medicinal and religious practices. Essential oils and perfumed waters were essential to the pleasures of Egyptian life and were used for soaking linen used in embalming bodies - to deodorants worn by men under their Wigs.

4)    The Egyptians initiated the art of extracting essences from plants, two centuries before the Greeks invented distillation (steaming) which preserved both the fragrance, uplifting and healing properties. Galen the renowned Greek physician was one of the world’s leading authorities on herbs & plants and his textbook became the world’s leading text book for 1500 years.

5)    The Romans borrowed much of the knowledge from the Greeks and Egyptians and by AD Rome had become the bathing city of the world with 1000 fragrant baths.

6)    By the Middle Ages, Apothecary Guilds were established in Northern Europe - apart from enhancing the quality of life, - essential oils and herbs also improved the average Europeans chance of survival during the Great Plague - today we have scientific proof of antibacterial action of these natural oils. (Our thieves oil & products are a blend of a few).

I am sure that from the small amount of information shared you will appreciate the value of these wonderful gifts of nature. These oils used properly can help with many issues through life.  Just smelling them can have the power to make a difference in your life’s journey. Meditation being just one example.
